Teen Murder: Four Charged In Triple Moco Shooting That Left One Dead In Woods

Four suspects have been arrested in connection to a November triple shooting that took the life of one man, authorities say.

Junior Francisco Del-Cid, 19, Elmer Lopez-Cortez-23, Jonathon Adonys Leon-Chacon, 24, and Elvin Manuel Guzman-Machato, 18, were arrested in connection to the shooting that occurred in the early morning hours of Wednesday, Nov. 9 in the 100 block of Colony Road in Piney Branch, according to the Montgomery County State's Attorney.  

Officers responded to the report of shots fired where they located three adult men suffering from gunshot wounds around 4 a.m., as previously reported by Daily Voice.

Two of the men were rushed to an area hospital where they were stabilized. The third man, identified as Willians Anderson Alberto Cruz, was found in a wooded area and pronounced dead on the scene.  A fourth male victim was located uninjured at the scene. 

Through the course of the investigation, Del-Cid of Takoma Park, Lopez- Cortez of Silver Spring, Leon-Chacon of Silver Spring and Guzman-Machato of Silver Spring were identified as suspects.

Through the course of their investigation, detectives were able to identify Del-Cid of Takoma Park, Lopez- Cortez of Silver Spring, Leon-Chacon of Silver Spring and Guzman-Machato of Silver Spring as suspects.  

On Thursday, Dec. 1, 2022, detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Leon-Chacon charging him with accessory after the fact for murder in the first-degree and three counts of accessory after the fact for attempted first-degree murder.  

On Friday, Dec. 2, 2022, detectives obtained arrest warrants for Del-Cid and Lopez-Cortez charging them with first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder, second-degree murder, attempted second-degree murder, two counts of first-degree assault, two counts of second-degree assault and the use of a firearm in a crime of violence.  

On Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2022, detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Guzman Machato charging him with accessory after the fact for murder in the first-degree and three counts of accessory after the fact for attempted first degree murder.

All suspects were being held in custody.
